About Chigwell
Chigwell was traditionally a rural farming community and has now been transformed into a stylish and largely suburban area which attracts footballers, entrepreneurs and city workers. It forms part of the “golden triangle” of Essex, along with the suburban areas of Loughton and Buckhurst Hill, and attracts tourists who visit Chigwell to dine in Lord Sugar’s Turkish restaurant, Sheesh.
The town offers the best of both worlds – it has the feel of a small rural village with 300, acres of the Hainault County Park on its doorstep, yet it is within easy reach of the capital. A number of people who live here work in London, as Chigwell is situated a handy, 30 minute train ride from Liverpool Street Station.
Things to Do
