About Epping
Epping is a small country town found just 45 minutes away from London by tube, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and forest. Epping was once famous for its butter, as well as its general agricultural produce which was highly sought after. People travel from London for its weekly market, which sells a huge variety of products for reasonable prices. Epping Forest is the largest area of open space on the outskirts of London, with over 6,000 acres of woodland.
Things to do
Epping Forest, known as the People’s Forest since Queen Victoria visited in 1882, provides an area for walking, cycling and horse riding, among other activities. Just minutes from Epping is the world class Lee Valley White Water Centre, where you can experience white water rafting and paddling for an adrenalin fuelled activity. People of all ages can join in here, with levels to suit all abilities.

Education
Epping has a number of schools, including Epping St Johns, the only secondary school in the town. This school specialises in engineering, and is highly popular and successful. Epping is also home to four primary schools, one of which is private. Coopersale Hall School is an independent preparatory day school which teaches children from the ages of 2 up to 11. Ivy Chimneys Primary School is one of the other primary schools, where they provide a happy and stimulating environment for the children.
Shops and Restaurants
Epping has a variety of shops on its high street, which range from well-known brands to small, locally run businesses. As mentioned before, Epping is famous for its historic market, which is well attended.
